Caller id said 'invalid number'
the line only rang 4 times before stopping - i did not pick up due to caller id info and i did not recognize number.

Got this call on a Sunday afternoon. Wasn't sure if it was an "Are you there?" call. When I didn't respond, the call disconnected.

Caller ID was C.A.L.P.A.L. Before the criminals took over the phone system you would interpret this as California Police Athletic League. Trust no one.
