Called today, didn't recognize the number, blocked

Called today. Did not leave message and did not recognize phone number. Blocked the number

Answered call and girl said she was calling about saving energy. I asked to please be removed from their calling list. She got very rude and said "you don't even know why I'm calling." So I responded and said "I'm not interested in knowing why you are calling. I would like taken off your call list." And she responded "we'll try again later" and hung up on me.
