Lady caller indicated that our home had been selected by the California PUC for a free air conditioning/heating system checkup.  Including free filters and up to 4 lbs of freon.  A $129 value for free because the PUC was funding system checkups to help lower energy usage.

Noise in background would suggest telemarketing firm making calls.

She left a message saying I had already paid for this ac heating service tuneup from the CA PUC.  Is this on the up & up?  Seems to me that the State would advise us of this.

Is this a valid number for one hour air conditioning?

One hour heating and air, legit company and decent at that

they have been bought out by 'right time'  & are no more reliable than before. Never showed for 2 appointments and never called. A month later, they call to see if we need anything?
