i got called from this number saying they were express solar. they were supposedly following up with an inquiry i made previously but i don't think I've even heard of them. they called twice in one day.

The caller was a person, knew my name, and claimed to be from "Freedom Solar."  I've never called Freedom Solar, but did call and work with PetersenDean/Solar4America to develop an estimate.  I also called, scheduled, then cancelled an appointment with SolarCity.  Given the series of events, Freedom Solar is presumably either a related company or another solar company that one of these companies shared my name/number with.

I did not get far enough to know if this was a survey, telemarketing stunt, or otherwise.

Called. Since I no longer know anyone in Corona, I didn't answer and looked it up here. I did previously have an appointment with Solar City, but not one with PetersenDean/Solar4America, so since both Z and I got a call from these scumbags, It had to be Solar City who ratted us out. Another good reason not to go with them.
