A scripted phone call from a foreign person who said it regarded Law enforcement actions.

The caller left a message saying he was Ricky Stevens. He sounded like he was from India and stated that he was calling from the Department of Legal Affairs and that a "Law Enforcement Action" was started in my name.He sounded like he was reading a script and he was definitely foreign.

The call sounded much like indicated in other posts. it was a foreign person who's name was Allen Brown. told me to call this number back and referenced a 'legal action that may have already been initiated' . from the Department of Legal Affairs - US Treasury Office. Also mentioned a Ryan Coleman.

I received a call just now from this exact number! How are these calls still allowed and how do they get our name and numbers? I asked if they had sent us anything regarding the 'legal suit' against us via regular postal mail & he said they had...needless to say we have never received any such legal document. He also tried to give us a number to call back and speak to someone further, but i may have said something regarding it being a scam, which then offended him apparently. i hung up before inappropriate language began! What exactly are they trying to scam us out of anyway..just curious.

I just received a phone call from a foreign male from this 949 #. I happened to be at the grocery store and a family member answered the phone call and scared the hell out of them. The subject stated I was being accused of fraud and demanded more personal information about me over the phone and stated they had already sent me mail to my current address which is scary!! Apparently they are going to start an investigation and I will be arrested in about 2 hours and now my family is scared and upset. How the heck did I get involved in this and how do we stop this?? I owe nobody!!
