I keep a police whistle by my phone and when these scam calls come in I blow the whistle into the phone s hard as I can, and then hang up.

Called my home phone, said they were from Microsoft and my computer had issues that they needed to repair. Nothing wrong with my computer, I hung up.

My friend responded to a similar scheme -- a scam. They wanted him to give permission for them to control his computer (remotely) to "repair" this or that. Fortunately, he knew that they'd hold it hostage and threaten to keep control of his system until he paid a ransom. Now you know, too! Don't fall for it!
