They call us and got very angry because I called them what they are F>>>>g scammers.

I've dealt with these clowns several times (most often, I just don't answer, but when I know it's the "Microsoft Engineers", I have played with them in the past)!
This is a typical boiler room type of operation whereby a computer calls many numbers at the same time - they get lucky when someone answers, because the now know that's a "hot" number which they'll either come back to later or use it to sell the many thousands to telemarketers/scammers..

Today, my wife answered because the voice was leaving a message (it was a robo call voice) to "immediately contact Microsoft Engineers by pressing 1"  She knew I was on my computer at that very moment and thought I might be doing something re the call!  No harm, no foul; it just means that I'll get a few more calls than I normally do!  As the this particular number, although it's spoofed, I'll delete and block it!  ;-)

Ron Smith from Microsoft. Riiiiight. Wasted about 15 minutes of his time while I ate dinner, then let my dog finish talking to him. I hope he gets really itchy herpes. BLOCKED.

Recognized the spoofed number, had some fun, spoke to Pakistani Harvey about my "computer sending signal" BS. Had him on phone for 10 minutes telling him comp is booting up, then said goodbye A**H*** and hung up..
