called cell and asked for Betty...when I say wrong number he says maybe you can help me.  Must be a scam...

They asked for ron I told him I was  ron first thing he asked for was my credit card information I said hell no it's a scam an im calling the police and he hung up faster than I could say anything else.  It's a Dayton Ohio number

Called my mobile asking for Emily.  I told him there's no Emily here.  "Maybe you can help me; I'm calling for disabled veterans..."

Same as what everyone else is posting.

Called my mobile asking for Gary.  I kept asking "Gary?" until I finally admitted there was no Gary at my cell number.  The response was, "Well, maybe you can help me; I'm calling for disabled veterans..."

The man's voice was not foreign, and was well spoken and very convincing.  I let him speak for a while, told him "No!", ended the call and blocked the number.

Just got a call from this number minutes ago, I'm sure a scam like most of these are.
