My wife and I received a call from this number, claiming I owe Cash Store, and they are filing suit against me. Told me to call 1-855-203-0704. Called the number and it was disconnected.The only info he gave me was "Silver Lakes" he got upset with me for asking 3 times because I did not hear him. He said he already gave his P.O. Box 3 times I never heard him give that info. When I hasked about verification that this is not a scam. He told me that we will go over that after I verify my info. He had all my info although I did not verify it. I can not find there company anywhere online. Please help!

Take a DEEP breath and calm down. This is (one of many) criminal extortion scams that have been going on for years. Many are operating overseas and out of the reach of US law enforcement, while others are operating within the confines of prison cells here in the US, using contraband cell phones. Others are using VOIP. Either way, they are able to disguise their identities and locations, making them next to impossible to prosecute. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting victims' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities. While you are at it, let them know they are calling on a recorded line and you intend to have them prosecuted for attempted extortion and wire fraud.

They call me too today at my work phone. The guy wouldn't even let me speak WHAT SO EVER. saying I didn't pay $130 back for a payday loan that I authorized through my bank account and it has already gone through collections and now to him. He stated if I didn't pay he was sending someone to serve me paperwork to be taken to court and sued. He knew all of my info and freaked me out even more he called my work. My boss then got on the phone and told him he could not call here anymore and said he had no right to be threatening me like that and hung up. The guy then called back and asked to talk to my boss and my boss declined the call. He's telling me not to worry but its a little scary when they have all this info on me. He also said he could not send me any paperwork regarding it besides the court ordered papers when they came. HELP! anyone else dealing with these calls?

I received a call a few months ago, not from this number, but similar and it was threatening me due to an unpaid account which i had been fighting with the Cash Store for several months over. I couldnt answer the call as I was at work. They called both my mom and brother, telling my brother they were a detective in Angelina County and claiming to my mom that they were with the Angelina County Sheriff's Department and that if I didnt call by the end of business that day I would be arrested. The number they left then was not even in Angelina county. when I called it back a very rude woman answered and continued to make threats. When I asked who she was with, she refused to tell me and made threats and demanded that I give my credit card information. When I refused and demanded more information the woman cursed me, told me I was rude, she would have me arrested, and hung up on me. I returned the call and informed them I would be going to Sheriffs department. Her attitude changed and she fed me some b.s. on how the original calls did not come from their office, it was contracted out. yet when she returned my calls they all came from same number. I informed them that I would not be doing any type of business with them, that I had been trying to work out the payment with Cash Store(the reason the account was in default was that they litterally would not take my cash payment because I had closed the checking account on file due to fraud) and that I refused to do business or give my info to any company which had literally broken federal laws which are felony offenses while on the phone. I contacted the Cash Store and asked how to contact corporate, I sent a letter stating my case which I never got a response to, but never heard anything else for about 6 months, then I receive the same threatening phone call from this number this morning. I will make one more attempt  to contact the Cash Store and then I will turn all info I have over to the authorities.
