Called my land line, ID said ''Miami, AZ"

Obvious scammers,

Seriously, why can't we do something about these people.

I was told that the National Do Not Call Registry is no longer funded.

This phone number called my cell phone and I didnt answer. Called the number back and a recording came on that the number has been disconnected. In less than 1 minute it was disconnected. How can that happen??? How can a disconnected number call ????

I just got a call from this same number. Definitely a scam. A guy with what sounded like a south Asian accent asked me if I wanted to lower my credit card interest rate to 6.9%. Well, of COURSE I do. I asked which credit card he was calling about. Apparently he represents a smorgasbord of banks, including Capital One, Bank of America, HSBC, Discover, and others. What a coincidence that I HAPPEN to have one of those very cards.

He then proceeded to ask me to give him the expiration date and the last 12 digits of my card number. If the red flags were already up, that took the cake. The first 4 digits are the bank number and are easily extrapolated by a good scammer.

Anyway, I told him "Thanks, but no thanks" and hung up on him.

BEWARE!
