All posters appear to be correct. Just found an article (from 2003) in the San Francisco Chronicle that identified TBS Productions as the fund raising firm used by many Bay Area police and fire department charities. They may operate in other localities, too. Things may have changed since the article, but from what it said, your charity dollars can go further, *much* further, if given in a more direct way and not through a professional fund raiser call bank. It seems to me they'd do better if they stopped bothering us on weekends or at dinner time. Annoying.
