I called the number back after receiving a call and it sounds like some sort of charity calling for donations.

no nuttin'   just a blank call. must be telemarketer.

I just received a call from this number.  Claimed to be Multiple Sclerosis Organization... but when I told them I already supported MS thought walk-a-thons, etc..... they said, that money goes to research... this organization was to help support the families.

So, I doubt this is a real organization.... sounds like fraud.

She seemed a bit miffed when I said I was not interested and hung up.

Calling for a donation to the American Legion.  This is one of those paid fundraising companies that raises money on behalf of other organizations, then takes something like an 80%+ cut of the money raised.  The same company has called before on behalf of Special Olympics and other groups.

I'd rather donate directly to these groups than donate through these fundraising companies that take such a huge piece of the pie.  I asked to be put on their do-not-call list.
