I answered and there was no response.

There was NO ring, NO busy signal, NO answer. I called Cabela's Customer Service and they said that this is NOT a Cabela's phone number.

Caller ID said “Unavailable.” I allowed the call to go to voice mail. Of course the called left no message, which tells me that the call was not important. My family and friends know to leave a message if they want me to return a call. I’m old, so this was certainly some scammer who preys on the elderly.

This number just called me. Definitely a scam! They said they were the police department and looking for people to donate to families of fallen officers so I asked him if I could get my fiance to call back and he hung up on me!

Got a call from this number yesterday (Nov. 11th) at 4:18 PM. Person said that they were starting up their annual fund raising drive for police officers. All too often these kinds of callers are actually 'for profit' calling centers, or if non-profit, then very little of the actual money raised goes to service personnel / first responders who the money is being collected to help; but rather goes into "Administrative" expenses (such as executive salaries).  Needless to say, I did not donate and put this number in my CPR Call Blocker.
