This company claims to be a collection agency, they say I had a bill from Sprint from an old phone number from many years ago! They were very rude and insisted that they would slam my credit if I didn't pay! I don't have any debt from Sprint everything was PAID before I moved but they insisted that they would not have had this bill I it was! They also said they have my social security # and can see my credit report and which activity is current (very scary how much our info is now public). And when I asked to send me a paper statement, as I do not pay anything over the phone, they insisted that they can only send me a letter when it's paid off in full, ya right! SCAM is what I say

I got a call from 919-246-8647 claiming the same thing but mine was for a Citibank account.  I called the # back and a girl named Michelle said the company's name is AGA.  I asked for more info and she transferred me to a manager who was completely rude and disrespectful and would not give me any company info other than that the headquarters are in Texas.

This company has all of my personal information, where I live, accounts I owe, and my social security #.  I asked them to send me an billing statement with the amount that I owe and they said they would after I made payment arrangements or agreed to pay the bill in full.  I told them I would not pay a bill to a company that I don't know especially over the phone.  The man said if I didn't, a case would be created to issue a lien on me and it will show on my credit report tomorrow.  I will be checking my credit report tomorrow.

Man called and said he was from a collection agency and he was calling about a bill I owed GE Bank from many years ago and wanted me to pay on the phone would not give any info of the account nor would they send out a statement. They would turn me into the IRS and they would put a lien on my house and my car or what every I had as far as value. They were very very rude and would not answer any questions. Almost yelled in my ear when I almost got to where I was yelling at him he wanted to cancel the call I said good bye and hung up.
