Caller ID showed XXXXXXXXXXX NC so I disconnected the call 1st ring. They immediately called back - usually a sign of a valid company. A man with an India accent asked for me by name, said he was with Global Phaarmacy calling about my prescription with them. I told him I wasn't doing any business with them & was on no medications. He said he was calling about Tramadol. I repeated I was on no meds, had never ordered from them. He then stated they had good discounts if I wanted to order. I repeated I was on no presscriptions, had my own insurance RX plan & to please take me off their list. I called the # back on my computer line; it's a non-working number. Per google:
June of Last year: Global Pharmacy Canada ordered to close Ontario operations
Global Pharmacy Canada touts its “dedicated and friendly” sales staff in Toronto, lists an Ontario address and proudly displays the red maple leaf on its website. What may not be immediately clear to its mostly American customers, though, is the Canadian-flavoured online firm is actually headquartered in Belize, ships its low-price drugs from India and doesn’t employ a single pharmacist here. Complaints about that seeming contradiction brought it under the scrutiny of regulators. Now, Ontario’s top court has upheld a ruling shutting down Global’s Toronto-area operations for violating professional rules.
Numerous complaints in the Canadian BBB re constant calls.
