*caller claimed that I had been selected to receive a grant from the U.S. Government for $9,200. When asked if I would like to know the reason for being selected, naturally I laugh and proceeded to answer him. I was asked "why are you laughing? do you think this is a scam? do not call back." The phone call ended there.

11/14/2016 Monday afternoon about 1445 I received a telephone call stating i had received a government grant for $9,200.00.  Which I would not have to pay back.  I was told to go to Wall-greens and purchase a Itooms card with a value of $210.00.  I told the person I did not have $210.00 and would not until my Social Security check arrived on 11/23/2016.  He told me to call him back when I got the card.

That I was receiving a 9200 dollar grant from the US government I ask him how and he said because I wasn't convicted of any crimes and I had not filed bankruptcy

I received a call from a so-called Brian Harper at ext 200 stating that I was entitled to 9,400 after I go to a Grocery store and purchase an iTunes card for 200, then I was to go to Western Union  with the card and provide him with the numbers on the iTunes card, wait for verification e-mail and then get cash in hand. He stated that the reason why I had to purchase the iTunes card was to get verification to waive the tax that my state (NJ) would charge then he mentioned that I was to call him once I purchased the iTunes card. Smh why is it that people are doing this and can't be caught?

This is the second time in two years their people have called with me receiving $9200 from the government. I asked how they got my number they told me it was selected but didn't from where do I still didn't get an answer. The first time I had to get a card to put $200 on it I told them I'm on a fixed income and don't have $200 I asked if ur giving me money why I have to pay anything they said it's for the taxes. I told them nevermind. Here a year later their trying it again. Isn't there anything that can be done about these people. Cause I know there r people that fall for this crap
