Received texts from this number in regards to an ebay classified ad.  I had something listed locally, however this out of town number contacted me asking the condition of the item.  They claim they will send a money order with an additional $20 to hold the item and continually ask for full name and address so they can arrange for movers to pick up the item.  When I asked them to call to speak in person they claimed they were deaf, when I asked them to use TTY they refused.  They continually asked for full name and address.  I have received two exact text message conversations from this number and another one so it is obviously a scam.  They never wanted to speak personally or answer any questions - just kept asking for information.  Beware!!

exact same situation here.  bank said check no good and call fraud dept. check was for $1100 more than cost of item, balance of this overage supposedly for movers

Like you they sent me a check for $1650 for a $375 item.  Do you just block them from texting & shred the check?
