Call from "Yonkers" to Ulster County. Did answer (stupidly) and had no response to my hello. Eventually heard a disconnection.

Received a call from 914-339-9708 with caller ID of State Trooper now in Dec 2012 - they did not answer & hung up.  The real State Troopers should know about this.

This call came from 914-339-9708 with the caller ID from "Yonkers, NY"    05:45pm  on Thursday, Jan 3rd, 2013.  I have received calls from them before looking for State Trooper funding.  This time the phone rang only a few times and hung up when I answered.  We are also on the feds "do not call list"  

I think this is a scam looking for credit card numbers. Give locally ONLY, never give ANY private information over the phone, even if they seem to know your name etc. etc.  

EXAMPLE! This just happened to us a few weeks ago. Your bank calls on a Sunday afternoon claiming that someone maybe using your credit card. He knows your full name, address and phone#. As upsetting as this may be- say thank you, request they put a stop on the card BUT give NO MORE INFO to the person that just called you. Nothing.  Hang up and call the number on the back of your credit card & report.  Within hours $800 had been charged on it.  Call your local branch bank on Monday to confirm and you'll most likely get all your money back. Lesson learned.

Just received a call from this number, identified as State Troop on caller ID, but I did not answer.  About 45 minutes prior, I did notice a white van in the driveway of the house across the street and the owner is not home.  The house is too far back for me to see if there is any lettering on the van, I don't know if it's just coincidence with the other post on here that mentions a white van.

Why am I getting calls when I have junk calls blocked?
