Left a message from Mrs nelson about charges on my elelctric bill. Wanted me to cb.
I didn't. Is this a cam?

Just an alternate electricity supplier trying to trick you into changing from your current supplier. Not to be confused with the delivery company whom you receive your bill from.  They use deceptive marketing techniques so in that sense it could be considered a scam attempt.

"This is Mrs. Nelson.  We've been trying to reach you regarding an important matter about the supply charges on your NYSEG electric account. Give us a call back at 914-266-8154 and have a copy of your electric statement to review this matter."  Also left a reference number E020xxxx.

Have received many calls from this number..only caller id  says chappaqua, New York and that's it...I do not know anyone from there...I've never answered any of their calls and will not....I've also turned off my answer machine so all these idiots don't get the opportunity to leave a message !  I refer to  this as an invasion of privacy !  My number is unlisted and I NEVER EVER AUTHORIZED THEM TO USE MY NUMBER AND CALL ME !!!!!!  Obviously they are uneducated morons who can't find a real job.....these calls are coming in on my private landline

Caller I.D. said the call was from Chappaqua NY, wanted me to call back to discuss charges on my NYSEG bill. Nothing I want to change, NYSEG's ok and I don't see any bogus charges on my bill.

So here's an idea, folks: since the Do Not Call registry lists obviously don't work, post any scam/annoyance call numbers you receive on whatever social media you're on, whether it's Facebook, Twitter, whatever. Your complaint will probably be seen by lots more people than read these "call look-up" sites, and maybe the scammers can be shut down.
