Talked to Verizon - they say they don't call from any number like that.  Hang up and call Verizon directly if you get this call.

I'm not the principle account holder on a family plan and they were calling me...someone has a swatch of Verizon account information and they'll farming it for people who are willing to give their credit card in order to "prevent their account from being disconnected".  While they have names and numbers, they do not have accurate billing information.

Never give payment information to someone that calls you.  Call them, at a number that you know to be reliable.

Yep, I just got it on my cell and home phone.  Its verizon looking for a late payment thats already been paid.

I just received a call from this telephone number this afternoon.  My bill is paid and current.  I called Verizon to inform, and the representative I spoke with checked my account and verified my account was in good standing.  She then informed me to never provide a payment over the phone to this unknown number, but the safest way is to pay online or call them directly.

Received a call today on two of my cell phones, one is a verizon line, but the other is not. No message left at all. I'm happy to have found out this is a scammer number.
