Talked to Verizon - they say they don't call from any number like that.  Hang up and call Verizon directly if you get this call.

I'm not the principle account holder on a family plan and they were calling me...someone has a swatch of Verizon account information and they'll farming it for people who are willing to give their credit card in order to "prevent their account from being disconnected".  While they have names and numbers, they do not have accurate billing information.

Never give payment information to someone that calls you.  Call them, at a number that you know to be reliable.

Report this to the FTC, especially if you are on the Do Not Call list.  They are trying to get around the list claiming they are Verizon (e.g., that they do business with you) when they you are not their customer.

The more complaints the FTC has, the more these people can be put out of business.

Called today one after another, first mobile, then land line, answered neither, but it made me think it must be someone who knows me, but apparently not.  Creepy.

Very annoying. Just got this 2 hours in a row this morning plus once yesterday. I hope they enjoy dealing with the FTC
