Talked to Verizon - they say they don't call from any number like that.  Hang up and call Verizon directly if you get this call.

I'm not the principle account holder on a family plan and they were calling me...someone has a swatch of Verizon account information and they'll farming it for people who are willing to give their credit card in order to "prevent their account from being disconnected".  While they have names and numbers, they do not have accurate billing information.

Never give payment information to someone that calls you.  Call them, at a number that you know to be reliable.

Google is an amazing thing. I also have been getting calls to my Verizon cell phone from 910-338-0671 all week. I never answer it because I don't answer unusual #'s. I googled it and came upon this website. I now see it is a scam. Thank you all for your posts.

they say that they are from Sunward Consolidated Group from Denver, CO but this number is showing up on my caller ID.

This is a call from Verizon Wireless calling to say that you haven't paid your cell phone bill and you are overdue. Just do #PMT from your cell phone and you can confirm that you have an overdue bill.
