We have been getting these calls for the past 15 years. When the office isn't super busy I like to give them a hard time. They don't ever go away so I just have fun with them. I try to keep positive so it doesn't ruin my day. Once they called and asked for the model number so I said "Sure, can you hold on just a minute while I get it for you, OK?" I put them on hold and waited a few minutes. When I got back on the phone I said, "OK, I have the number are you ready?  It is S as in Sam, C as in Cat, A as in apple, M as in Mary. (With a big grin on my face eagerly waiting for the reaction) There was a short pause and then "OH, ha, ha, no, you must have read the wrong number........." In mid sentence the line disconnected. These people will never go away and always hang up before you ever get a second to say" Please remove me from your list" So, join the rest of us and just have fun with them. At least give yourself something to grin about for the rest of the day. GRIN!

Called and asked for the number on our printer in our office...I have had these calls before so I hung up.  She called back and said that I "have an ugly name, by the way!"  Who does that???

Called our office this morning around 9:45am.  When I saw the 909-111-1111 on the caller ID I immediately suspected it was a fake number or telemarketing scam.  A lady answered and immediately asked for the serial # and meter count for our copy machine.   I asked why she needed to know this.  She says "to update our records".   And I ask "For which company?".  She hangs up.  Typical scam.  Next time I'll play the answer and hold game with her.

They called our office again this morning twice around 11:45am.  Because their fake phone number is easy to remember on caller ID I immediately hung up on them without even answering this time.

Received a call from 909-111-1111.  Her name was Mary and wanted to know the model number of my copier.  When I asked her where she was calling from what it was about she said she was updating her records.  I asked her again where she was calling from and she hung up.
