This just happened to me, except This lady Sharon called my father's Job, becuase she couldnt get in touch with me. How she found  his info was the question?? but after i recieved the message I imediately contacted my Freind who happens to be the DA Of my City, he told me that there was no such thing as a search and recovery Warrant and it was a scam. i then called this lady "Sharon" Again and ask for her information and she refused to give it to me, i also ask if she was an attorney or some one who actually works for an attorney, she couldn't answer that either. So if you guys are getting these calls please contact your attorney and give he or she the phone number to call>>> after all its a crime to impersonate a law officer or even the county DA.. Dont Be Afraid to fight back.....

We received a call from an "investigator" also..sounded like a black female. something about "charges" and us calling back, etc. Im in the process now of sending some legal action their way.

we received a call in the middle of the day from an "Investigator" (black female voice) named Sharon. (904)721-3708.She said "charges had been filed" and our party had to call back a.s.a.p. She even left an extension (207). My research led to this page. Pretty dumb criminals, as this is very tracable to Duval County Florida, and other information, from the number. Im in the process now, of having my son, who works for the DOD, trace these people down, we have access to a lot of resources. They called the wrong people this time.

These people called me and my oldest daughter today from three different numbers, looking for my youngest daughter,  stated they were investigators and that we needed to tell my youngest daughter to call them,  they also called me back and asked for my oldest daughter, stated they needed to talk to her about my youngest daughter and her husband.  I just took a msg.  I didn't know what they are about, but the next time they call, they will get an earfull, as I have worked for a collection agency and know the FDCPA rules.  If they break them i will file a compliant.  I am in TN.

They called my oldest daughter on her cell ph, and this in itself is illegal according to the FDCPA.  I advised her the next time they call to tell them this is a  cell ph and to stop calling, if they do not then they are breaking the rule.  

According to the FDCPA, they cannot present themselves as attorn or law offices, they can in no way threaten u in anyway, including to sue u, are not supposed to call u at work if told not to, are not supposed to tell anyone but u what the business is about, except ur spouse in some states not all.  I HATED it when i worked for a collection agency, but did learn some things.  I am waiting for them to call me back, so I can ask some questions and hope they break all the rules.

The number was on my cell and I returned the call and was verbally abused by a man calling himself TOM CURRIN, claiming to be going to court in an  hour and was trying to be nice and give me one hour to pay up or face a class 2 felony in Ms. I don't live in  Ms. but own  property there. However he said he  was an Investagator for a Fraud Div. and was very mean and when I stood up for my rights saying I would call the DA office to make arrangements on the  chance I owed a bill or check, He really got mean and nasty. He called Husband employer and they called me telling me to take these people to court cuase he tried to tell them he was a court officer trying serve us.
