I received 2 voice mail messages from a man named Andrew, at this number. His phone number is 904-672-1023, ext. 245. The caller indicated that they are from the offices of HP Capital. They also indicated that some type of action is being taken against me, in the city where I live. They want me to call and give them my statement immediately, because I've never dealt with this type of action before. I think this is a bogus call, from a bill collector, trying to imtimidate me, or whoever else they call, by scaring someone into thinking that some "action" is being taken against them. They don't go into specifics, most likely because there really isn't action action. It's also interesting to note that these type of companies never put anything in writing. If some "action" was pending, wouldn't they have sent me a letter first? This is definately an illegal practice, under the Fair Debt Collections Act. I checked the business license bureau in Florida, as well as the Better Business Bureau, and I can't find any informaiton on this company. Hummmm, sounds fishy to me. Be careful with this one. I have not returned those calls, nor do I intend to.
