I posted an ad on Craigslist and this number keeps texting me wanting to buy my car throught Pay Pal. Definitely a SCAM!

Trying to buy a vehicle I posted on Craigslist. Insisted on paying through Paypal. I stated I didn't have a Paypal account and they even instructed me on how to start one. Lol. Texter said they were off shore on an oil rig and it was a gift for an in-law.  Got impatient after I told them I would have my lender notify themwith acceptable forms of payment. Block this number.

I just received the same text after I posted my car on a website. Thanks for your comments.

wow!I too was called about an ad off craigslist and yes he gave a huge story about being a petroleum engineer offshore. wanted me to pay for shipping via western union in the tune of $800. went so far as to create his own spreadsheets with paypal logos on them to try and make them pass as genuine. he used the info I provided during our conversations to piece together the forms to make it look like he(they)had my info. One, paypal already has all your info and won't ever asked it again, two, they know how to spell, and three, paypal would never ask you to transfer money to another party before transfering money to you. That's what he tried with me.FYI his so called pick up carriers address is actually the Texas department of transportation.4777 e highway 80 e mesquite,texas 75150(Jatavus Bivins) the caller said his name was Justin Best. Just beware!! Never, Never, wester union or wire transfer any money, anywhere, anytime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boy this guy really gets around. I hope he gets what's coming to him. Karma. Most people work hard for the things they have and to have people like that, trying to cheat someone out of they're hard earned money is down right wrong and if this person is a guy, he should have his nuts cut off!!!
