This person claims to be from the "Department of Crime Prevention". He will tell you that you are the suspect in an investigation for fraud, etc. for a pay day loan. He couldn't tell me the name of the company, the date the loan was taken out, or any details. He threatened to make me lose my job if I could not pay. I asked to speak directly to the company and he could not give me their number. I've reported this to the FTC and they told me this was a scam. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE A CREDIT CARD NUMBER IF THEY CALL YOU!

I got the same call from a different number a few months ago; same spiel, scared the heck out of me,then I remembered what happened the one time I did default on a payday loan: the company called me the business day after funds were returned, not months or years later, and I paid them back via western union with a credit card. That's how it works: they call right away to resolve the debt. Would have been nice if I'd remembered that when these morons called!

This company is calling harassing me saying that they are from the Dept. of Crime Prevention and that I owe money and to pay right then with a debit or credit card only or I will be arrested and facing jail time. This is a scam.

i too recvd a call i refuse to pay them..bt thn i landed up in downtown for next thirty days..this means its a truth..ans its nt a scam..so beware nd pay dis guys...they really hav a right to sue uu

It's very funny how I keep receiving the same phone calls from different numbers.  I am getting them on both my work phone and my cell phone.  Every time I log the return number in to google search I come up with these same blogs.  And every time on one of these blogs is a response from someone who clearly can't speak english let alone spell it.  Very familiar to the [***] who keep calling and very familiar to your post sir.  We know you are a scam and I am taking the advice of my district attorney friend and contacting both the FTC and the FBI along with the attorney general.  I will not be harrassed by you guys anymore especially at work.  You need to keep your scam artists [***] in your country and rip off your own people.  This is freaking rediculous.
