Received a message of winning 2.5 M from Australian sweepstake company plus Mercedes. The required fee to be legalized in U.S. $ 495.00. A scam ?

According to the person that called me from this phone number I'm the big winner!  They claim that I signed a coupon for Readers Digest on Feb of 2014 - And have won the raffle!  Apparently I'm entitled to 2.5 million dollars!  I'm rich!  All my dreams will come true now!
When I told the person that I don't use coupons, they continued on anyhow, and I then informed him that I do not believe he is legit.  So he asked if I would like my winnings to go to a charity of my choice.
I let him know that I feel he should contact the local sheriff's office, and get in touch with me through them.  He said.  "Okay" Then hung up.  ^_^

Another scam coming out of India.  These guys never give up.
