I have been receiving this call also. I tried answering it, but nobody responds. Why call me if you won't respond??? From now on I won't answer.

yes indeed they call at all hours with no voice on the other end - very annoying

NAMI Memphis is listed in the business section of the Memphis telephone book.  The listing reveals the address of 2009 Lamar Avenue in Memphis and the number is 901)725-0305. I called this number and it was answered quickly by a very nice lady named Veronica.  I related my experiences with their phone calls, and she seemed to be very aware of this happening.  She explained to me that she would call their thrift store and have them remove my number immediatly.  She could not however explain why they had my unlisted phone number in the first place.  Time will tell of course, but I suggest you call this other number for relief from their irritation.

The number 901-458-2010 belongs to National Alliance on Mental Illnes Memphis ( NAMI Memphis ) NAMI is a nonprofit charity orginazation that will be celebrating it's 25th year in memphis in March of 08.
We are an education, advocacy and research orginazation that provides free education and support groups for family members who have a mentaly ill loved one. We also provide these services to mental health consumers. The calls you are getting are from our clothing donation center to ask if you would like to donate used clothing or household goods. The proceeds from the donations help us with our operational cost as well as providing clothing to mental health consumers.
I am sorry that you have recevied hang up calls. Sometimes the dailer will get you on the line befor an operator can get on the line. Please know we donot wish to disturb anyone who does not wish to be called.
