Those are geared more for the caller's advantage more than receivers. No reason to be angry, just don't get duped. They'd get away with it, too, if not for those meddling kids, and that dog.

Answered but silence. Then they hung up. Blocked call.

We have gotten this call several times.  Exact time the phone rings once or twice, then when we answer the line goes dead.
Probably a scam or some thief checking to see if we are home.  Their ruse is no good.  Our land line calls switched to our cell phones so we still get the scam interruption.  They must be scumbuckets to make a practice of this..
