They get numbers for people that are ddd or elderly and try to scam them

have had several calls on my cell trying to sell me extended warranty on my car. Car is a 2005.

called left no message

Got a call from this unknown number.  Answered and there was no one was on the line.  Obviously yet another of these annoying robocalls.  I'm often curious about these and called this number back.  There was a recorded message simply saying: 'Hello and thank you for calling; if you want to be put on the do not call list, press 1'.  What legitimate business would even have this as their main message when calling?  Note that they don't identify who they are (because they are crooks).  Interesting, I got the 'expiring warranty' scam call from another spoofed number supposedly from Texas, and the message when you call back is the same as this one.
