Phone scammers. Slammers in this case. They pretend they are going to get you a discount on your Com Ed bill. They will ask you to verify info on your Come Ed account. If you are silly enough to give it to them, they with switch your service and you will pay much more.

The phone rang no message looking at the comments I am glad I did not pick -up. How do we stop these calls? I have placed my phones on "DO NOT CALL" but it seems like it does no good.

The Do Not Call registry works GREAT - but ONLY with legitimate telemarketers.  It has no magic power to stop scammers.  Think about it - how could a passive list stop someone from calling you?

If you think the registry does no good, imagine how life would be where in addition to calls from scammers you got calls from legitimate businesses all the time.

Get a call blocker and/or sign up with NoXMoXRobo DOT com (remove the X's) - if that service works on your landline.  It does work on Comcast, AT&T Uverse, and a number of other phone company services.

I have received multiple calls from these scammers.  After reading the other comments glad I didn't pick up.  Our local news did a story about these scammers; if they can record you saying yes; they can switch your electric service.  Then consumers pays BIG and these scammers make lots of money.
