this person contacted me about an ad I have in craigslist, basically a scammer who was going to arrainge to have the furniture I am selling picked up and he was going to send me a "certified check" to pay for the furniture and the shipping company. I am in Michigan and this is another twist to an old scam. Be careful if this person wants tonic  some kind of business with you, they are most likely to be setting you up to be scammed or ripped off.

9/6/12 - I had a listing on Craig's list as well with the same modus operendi.  Definately a scammer.

This person contacted also contacted me about furniture and immediately began communicating in a very odd way regarding the transaction and it was clear that this individual was not legitimate.  This person Here's the Transcript:

Scammer: 860-281-1319:  "I will be responsible for the pick-up at your location, so that will not be a problem for you, so text me back Immediately and let me know if you are ok with it so that we can proceed."

Me: Hello ... what are you asking?

Scammer:  860-281-1319:  "Let me have your address, so that the agent can come to pick up the 3-piece furniture set."

Me:  "what agent?  who are they?"

Scammer:  860-281-1319:  People that are gonna be responsible bringing the item to my location"

--- Notice the contradictions in the first text this person was responsible for pick up ... now in the 3rd text already a contradiction, now some mysterious unidentified, nameless "Agent" will be pick up the item.  Also notice that there are three items not as mentioned in his 2nd text, now it's just picking up "the item".

Me:  "Give a call if u are interested to discuss":

Scammer:  860-281-1319:  "Do you understd?"    -- spelled exactly like this.

Me:   "Gvie a call if interested.  

Scammer: @ 3:42am the next morning sends me this text ..... "Hey my phone is acting up.  

So after I refused to meet this scammer's demands, he or she texted me at 3:42 to harass me.  

I will find a way to report this individual to the Department of Justice.  



*NOTE - As a seller, I have been contacted by many prospective buyers regarding items for sale on Craigslist and legitimate interested individuals do not speak, communicate, text, talk like this.

same scammers ask for my PayPal account her or him email is susancepec326@gmail.com message me at night and offer deposit cost of my item plus shipping but then just disappear
