PHISHING!!!!! The Indian man I spoke to was pressing me for my credit card number and asking me to trust him "just 1%" so he can lower my APR for being a good customer, paying my bills on time, and paying more than the minimum amount (which was all true about my habits). When I asked which card he was calling from he basically said all of them. I told him that I didn't trust him. He said he understood but was still pressing the issue of getting my CC#. I told him that if he was really with my cc, he should already have this info in front of him. There was a lot of obnoxious "call center noise" playing in the background but it was SO fake but there to make it seem legit. During certain portions of the call, like when he thought he'd get my CC #, the noise would stop and the line was completely silent (being recorded?). When he finally realized he wasnt getting my credit card info, he started threatening me. He said he was going to max out all of my cards in the next 2 minutes and cancel all of them. He started getting really rude and threatening and that's when I hung up on him. Be aware!! Credit cards will NEVER ask you for your credit card number.
