called back number, reached a recording that said it was a marketing call for  a Diabetes supply distributor.. the recording offered to place my number on a do not call list.

Your scamming callers do not maintain this site or this web page. No callers can magically determine which numbers should not be called based on anonymous comments. Criminals who mass-dial and violate the Telemarketing Sales Rule have no plans to stop calling you no matter what you say and regardless of your DNC registrations. They need first to be sued or jailed.
