said they were with Pension Database

Rudely hung up when I started to tell him we don't give out information over the phone.

caller identified himself as being from Research Magazine. He said they send us a Fact Sheet for International Company as part of our subscription (sent out quarterly). They asked if we are receiving it and still interested in receiving it.

My research: The call above originated from Summit Business Media aka: P&C National Underwriter; Corp headquarters in Erlanger, KY. (859) 692 2100 = Summit Bus Med http://www.summitbusinessmedia.com/ContactUs/Pages/default.aspx

There are several 800# customer service contact numbers to call to be placed on DO NOT CALL if you need to do this.

Called to verify title and duties for an exec, yet when I advised him I would transfer him directly and all questions would be answered by that exec , he abruptly hung up.
Not sure if this company tries to get you to say "yes" , which they record and then send bills for "services or goods" that was agreed upon - which is where the record of someone saying 'yes" could screw you.
