Caller ID showed "Rand Pac". A web search indicates it may be a Political Action Committee (PAC) for Libertarian nutjob Rand Paul.

they called and would not talk to me  (wife) said they would call back and wanted to know good time, advised none would be a good time, he thanked me and hung up

Got a call from this number today.  Caller ID said Rand Pac.  Did not answer.  I will be adding this to my block list through our cable/phone service. (Time Warner)  Some phone services provide free of charge, a block list for numbers that you do not want calls from.  I can program up to 30 numbers on mine.  Check it out.  Well, worth it.

yeah! bash the unconventional thinker! yay statism! yay status quo!
