A man named Steve Taylor calls the mortuary and says that you need to sign legal papers or he is going to charge you for a missed visit. It is a loan scam for a person that does not work here.

I got a call like that today and he told me that he will be here in an hour, i told him that i will be here to sign for the paperwork. He also gave me a number to call if i had any questions so i did. so i know what this is about and i will do my best to handle it but steve taylor didnt ask me for any money, so i dont see how this can be a loan scam.

Did anyone show up? I got the same call and the same STEVE Taylor is to send legal paperwork to my place tomorrow. I am not going to sign anything until I know what this is all about.

Did they give you a number to call because they left me the 857-203-0589 number and i called them and they told me what this was about.They also gave me a tax ID NUMBER. I will call the state now to see if they are legit.

@ Mike Washington, what did they tell you it was about? This Steve Taylor just called my cell phone and left a message reciting my name and address regarding documents to be delivered to me tomorrow. He said they require MY signature and if I wasn't going to be there I needed to call the law office at 857-203-0589 to make delivery arrangements so that I would not be counted as a "Failure to Deliver". He then gave me a "case number". Sounds like a scam to me.
