I receive this call on my work cell phone and on my personal cell phone. Both are with Verizon, although this has nothing to do with them other than they allow it to happen on their service.
This is a pure scam. They ask for your credit card number and don't be foolish enough to actually put the number in. I tried putting in fake numbers like 1234567.... and it would always say that was an incorrect number so whomever is pulling this scam is hoping for real numbers so they can rob someone blind.
