They are criminals.

Once you receive a call you will receive many many more. Any recorded telemarketing call is 100% illegal. So if you get one, then you should know it is a scam.

Every call will be recorded, will come from a number that is out of area, will always have a weird caller ID name, and will always be a fake number from a fake company.

All they want is your credit card information so they can use it for personal use. There is no service, there is no company and they will definitely not lower your interest rate.

Beware of telemarketing scams by NOT providing personal information over the phone. Never ever provide personal information over the phone. Please warn others and ignore such calls.

This scam is old but people sadly still fall for it.

An attempt to contact me were made from this # on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 10:03 a.m EST. I tried calling it back twice there after and, it just rang incessantly...

I've been doing some checking and it might be due to the mortgage company we have. Not sure but it seems that when GMAC mortgage went bankrupt they sent our mortgage to a company called Ocwen...awful company, but they apparently have many small companies that use your information to call to sell you various products. Not saying that's who we all have, but maybe it is something like this. I just want people to leave me alone. If I want a product I will search it out....we need people to re-define capitalism, it's gone from having a business and being profitable to being pushy and invasive in our lives...I want out!

We had gmac and now its ocwen so probably same thing. Goodthing we're getting rid of that mortgage soon.

Being on the national do not call list, I reported this to https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx...I suggest others do the same!
