Just got a call on my cell that showed up as "Emergency Number", so of course I answered it, terrified, only to hear the heavily accented voice on the other side of the line claim that he was from the Wisconsin State Sheriff's department claiming that I was about to be arrested because I took out a loan with Cash Advance and did not pay it back (neither claim is true).  I asked for info to be mailed to me and the man gave me a case # and told me to call the Attorney General's office at 850-702-2842 and speak to Sam Wilson.  Obviously this is a scam, and probably from a number that I have blocked in the past-they are getting trickier and trickier!!!!  Also, I tried calling the 850 number and the line just rang and rang, I am guessing that if this were the AG office, they would at least have an answering service!

I too received a call from an "Emergency number". I did not answer it. They did leave a voice mail. Heavily accented man claiming to be calling from my state's police headquarters. Message went on to tell me I am going to be arrested unless I call the Florida State Attorney General at 850-702-2842. No other information was given. I won't be calling the number. I will be adding it to my reject list

This "Sam Wilson" is well known in these pages and not in a good way.  He is no more with any Attorney General's office (there are many states he claims to work in) than I am the man in the moon.  Also why would a "Wisconsin sheriff" be calling from a Florida are code?

I am sure that number they gave you does not go the the Florida AG's office although they might answer it like it is.

got a call from a 911 emergency number stateing his name was brian marshall and there is a arrest warrant out for me and for me to call 850-702-2842 state attorneys office but  it was a recording and at the end of it it says god bless.. really people these are so scams
