Harley, I got literally the same email, with the same amount and case number.  It's a scam.

A attorney can not and i repeat can not threaten you with criminal charges, or use this type of tactic to collect debt. This is against the code of ethics and the attorney can be suspended for this action. I just left a very promising call to action voicemail to Thompson Law Group to report them to the local bar. Got an e-mail from a Linda Parrish from this law group.  It does not have my name on it but has To:  Lisa White - no phone number - I looked the group up and found a bunch of other people getting the same e-mail.  I have turned this over to my attorney.
