Feb 1, 2016
Someone from this number called my cell phone on Feb. 1, 2016 and not leave a message. I know no one in Pensacola, Fla. This is likely one of a growing number of telemarketing scam calls now flooding the cellular networks, as they have been flooding land lines for years.
They are using Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) dialing, driven by computers outside the US that call millions of numbers every day. Every time each of us gets one of these calls, we ought to call our US representative, our senators and the White House to complain. If we don't rise up and demand that this be stopped, it will never end.
Calls being made by the millions can be blocked by telephone companies. The operations rooms here in the US where the scammers actually sit can be located. These people can be found, prosecuted, and jailed if necessary to get this to stop.
