Selling motorcycle on Craig's list

Was it a scam?

This phone number texted me as "Peter", asking to send my Craigslist ad for a motorcycle to someone named "Roger" via e-mail. I sent the description of my ad to "Roger" and received a PayPal scam response. One of the typical "I'm in the military so I won't be there" and "I have a hauler carrier agent coming to pick up the motorcycle" type of deals.
