automatic message calling every day for someone i have never heard of

No one is ever on the other end of the phone, no one ever says anything, and the call is coming through on my cell.

I have been getting calls for Tanya Goodrich at my cell phone number for years. They go for a while, stop for a while and start up again. I even got through to them and told them to stop calling. It's been about a year or more since they called. Now it begins once more. They DO say, "If you are not Tanya Goodrich, please ignore this call." This time they give a LONG case number impossible to write down unless you are ready and very quick -- and  (similar to previous times) they name a financial institution (didn't catch the name) and say they have reached a FINAL collection status due to the lack of response to the calls. I think that a good Skip Tracer could certainly find all the Tanya Goodrich numbers in the country for them. I have had my number for eight years and I don't expect this to stop. It's just a hassle I have to live with. Evidently, Tanya Goodrich had my cell phone number years ago and defaulted on a loan or debt -- and in these tough times, the debt collectors are taking very old default cases. I looked up the originating number (850-270-4055) on the Internet and learned that it came from Florida. I just called this number and spoke to someone who said they are Calls Debt Collection Services, owned by (Chicago-based) Halsted Financial Services. He asked if I knew Tanya Goodrich, and I told him no and asked them to stop calling me. He said he would remove me from their call list (that they just got YESTERDAY - Jan. 7, 2013) and that it could take 24 hours. He said there are other debt collection services out there, so my guess is that the same erroneous information just get circulated around to them year after year. And they will be calling me too, sooner or later, I guess.
