Received same call as others. Caller female sounded middle eastern, and she told me she needed to talk about my computer. Told her I don't have a computer...long pause and I hung up laughing...scammer all the way...beware!!!

Tired of these calls about my windows computer.  I asked which one and he said "how many do you have?" and I said "6" and he said "goodbye"  They call from a variety of numbers.  Since the do not call list doesn't do a bit of good, I bought a call blocker and can either hit the button to block or if not by the blocker, hit #2 and I'm rid of them.  The scam is to take control of your computer so don't let them.

I got a call this evening from 845-708-9532. CID said NEW YORK. I do not have any friends, family or business in New York but I thought I would have a little fun. When I answered there was silence for a few seconds and then the familiar click connection and someone at the other end said "Hello". It was a male voice sounding very Indian, as previous posters have said. The conversation went like this. "Hello, my name is John and I am from the Windows Technical Department. The reason for the call is that your computer is showing error messages that are being broadcast on the internet. Are you aware of that?" I said, "No. I don't believe a word you said."  "John" said, "You don't believe me? Do you know who I am?" I said, "Yeah, you said your name was John." Then he proceeded to say something that I could not understand but it sounded like he said something about seeing him. I asked him, "see you?" And of all things, he hung up on me! :) :)

This phone number called me this evening and I told them to stop calling me and that I was not buying anything they were selling, and I cursed at them and he got angry.  They are a scam company.

We have always had an unlisted phone number.  How do these creeps get an unlisted private number? Are the phone companies like Verizon, etc. selling our info to these "supposed" charities, companies, etc.???  So glad that I have a Call Blocker device -it's well worth the cost.
