Why are folk calling back and expecting the criminal to take you off their list?

No message. I've saved this number to my caller ID under "scam" so if they call again I'll know to ignore it, or answer the call and repeatedly press the # key to signal the robo dialer that it's a nonworking number.

This number is a marketing firm.  When I called back, I was able to choose #2, the option to be put on the DON'T call list. I appreciate that a lot!
