I just received this call from someone in Gonzales, Texas. It had a caller id and I am freakin out. However, I am lucky enough to receive call notifications on my watch because it beeps and shows. I wasn't around my iPhone but around my Fitbit so i could see who was calling. However, I have to enter my phones passcode to see the area of texas. I don't know anyone in gonzales texas.

Medina, Texas, is a couple of hundred miles away from Gonzales, Texas.
Gonzales is a common last name for many people whose ancestors came to what is now Texas, before there was a Texas. It could be a wrong number ... it's rather late in the day for scammers to be calling people to scam them with the most common scams.

William, since when do scammers care about proper times to call? They'll call whenever the heck they feel like it.

Some scams are more "believable" when the calls are made during the "normal business hours" of Americans, like the fake IRS agents, and fake Publishers Clearing House winning announcements.

Oh I agree, but some scammers really don't care, or are places in the world where it would be appropriate for them, but not the place they are calling
