unsolicited text message that claimed my "Bank of the Hills" account has been "DEACTIVATED." I was directed to call listed number. I did not call number--I'm not an account holder of that bank. I checked the Bank of the Hills website, and the main page cautions from scam messages and phone calls.

I received a phone text message to my Sprint cell phone - your card at Bank of the Hills has been Deactivated. Please call.

First of all - Bank of the Hills (Kerrville, Texas) - is not my bank
Second - I don't have a card with them

This is a SCAM
