This number popped up on my caller ID just now, and the caller ID pegs it as being from La Crescenta.  I've received quite a few calls from that area in recent weeks, and ALL of them have been that "Oh, hey!  I'm having problems with my headset...can you hear me?" scam.

I didn't answer, but called the number right back to make sure it really wasn't a legit call.  Sure enough: it went straight to a message saying that the survey I was calling about was already over.  Typical of a scammer.

Telemarketer call. It was indeed the "Oh, hey!  I'm having problems with my headset...can you hear me?" call. Reports are that these calls are being generated by computers using the latest generation in speech processing, in the vein of Alexa, Siri and so on. Not even a real person, but sounds like one. Blocked
